On the road again.....and it was BEAUTIFUL!
We left Lake Louise Campground this morning and headed west on Hiway 93. WOW! If we would have stopped at every photo op, we’d still be driving! Unbelievable scenery! We didn’t see any wildlife until after we had lunch at Jasper! What a cool little town that is. And maybe “cool” is not describing it correctly! The waitress told us it was 40 BELOW for many days this past winter! That qualifies for “Cold,” not cool! We did see the best and worst of nature. Approximately 5 km from Jasper, the forest is completely dead, FOR MILES! We assume it’s the beetle, but forgot to ask in Jasper. That’s about it for details! Oh, we saw another “black bear.” (Thanks Jerry) AND, we just got chased inside by, you guessed it, our first MOSQUITOS! 😡.
