Beautiful BC and "How much farther is it?"

No internet last night; so, this is two days of travel........We've been to British Columbia twice before  and we've thought how beautiful it was.  The past two days haven't disappointed.  Yesterday, we left Prince George and headed west on Hiway 16.  Landscapes were just awesome.......well, except for the fact that they need to do a dandelion intervention. Or, perhaps they've a plan for some dandelion wine.  We saw fields, and fields, and fields of dandelions???????  Some soccer fields were so thick we wondered how the kids could even run through them.  Other than that, it was as if BC has a handle on the definition of "beauty."  We turned north on the Cassair Hiway.  Highly recommended and it didn't disappoint either.  We were struck by the lush, fresh, clean look of nature laid out before us.  We did see 9 black bears!  Three singles and two mama bears with two cubs each.  They were pretty camera shy, but we did get a blurry picture of one of them before he/she scurried into the woods.  Last night was a first for us as we boondocked for the first time......well, almost:  we were within walking distance of hot showers and a bathroom!  But, we were entirely on our own power and water wise.  Was kinda fun realizing we could do that effectively.  Today, was a struggle! We only drove 294 miles at 60, 70, and a few times 80 km/hr.  Yup, km, you do the math!  Besides, it rained all day and those majestic panoramas just weren't happening.  We did see two more black bears and a caribou; so, that was fun.  One of the bears was really camera friendly; so, Ken got a "few" shots of him.  That's about a wrap other than to tell you we are on the Alaskan Hiway!  Not sure how far we're going tomorrow......got kinda road weary today!
Enjoy your three day weekend!  All for now. πŸ™πŸ»πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ™πŸ»
As Always, K/B
(We have a really slow connection tonight; so, will try to upload some more pictures tomorrow. 😞)

  1. What the hell you two, I forgot that you were going on this trip. I just got connected to your blog at our ranch in the Sierras. Reception is a bit spotty up here. Your pictures of BC make me think back to when you visited us at home on the coast up there. Remember helping with glass fence? Eh? Have a great
    trip!
