Haines is the place..........

We have enjoyed Haines so much; we decided to stay an extra day.  Even though we didn’t have WiFi at our park, we found it at the local library! “Librariesrock” is the password and we agree.  We love Haines. It has all the feel of a remote Alaskan town with all of the amenities! Yesterday, we saw bears, moose, Eagles, numerous birds, seals, orcas, you name it and we saw them!
That’s cuz, we went to the Bald Eagle Foundation “museum!” 😉
Haines is full of local art displays, shops and artists. We even visited a totem reconstruction artist, but they weren’t reconstructing yesterday! We went on a fabulous hike and, of course, witnessed gorgeous scenery!
And, today, we visited the Jilkaat Kwanzaa Cultural Heritage and Bald Eagle Visitors Center.
Ohhhhhh, and Ken had a look at an eagle who gave him an extraordinary opportunity to watch him fish! And, we saw a mama Merganzer and her 8 ducklings.
Tomorrow, we head north! Not sure how far we’ll get because the road is under construction, but we’ll see!
Until next post, Be Well, K/B

  1. Did you meet any of Myron's relatives in Haines?

  2. Hi Bonnie and Ken, Bill is letting me on your blog every few days ... so sorry about his "humor." I am enjoying the picture book of your journey north. Today's wild life pictures (duck family and eagle fishing) were amazing. Stay safe as you continue your fun, interesting, and "wonderful" (full of wonder) journey north.
