What a Beautiful Day!

We began the day with Bonnie reaching the top of Denali! Quite a feat for someone her age! 😉 Then, we did laundry and watched the Alaska Railroad come and go. The railroad is right behind our camp; so, it’s easy to see the railroad comings and goings! Besides its tourist business, and its freight business, it also runs the Hurricane Turn Train. This train departs Talkeetna at 1:00 pm and returns at 7:00 pm. It’s an interesting frontier experience in that anyone can be picked up or dropped off along the way. People in the bush use it to get to and from Talkeetna and other stops along the way! After watching them depart, we did the next best thing and took a joyride around Denali in an airplane and landed on a glacier! What a treat!
