Beautiful Mountains and ROUGH Roads.......

Yesterday, we only traveled 161 miles, but it felt like 1,000! We could only drive 35-45 mph most of the day! And, we had road construction where we would wait 20 minutes or more for the pilot car! Oh well, the scenery was magnificent again! Mostly mountains and lakes and many, many rivers! We did, however, arrive at our campsite in one piece with no discernible damage. We saw the Nelchina Glacier yesterday and today, we saw the Matanska Glacier. Today, more mountains. Saw some 12-14,000 peaks as well as many others! We drove through Glennallen, Palmer, and Anchorage today! We decided we liked the wilds better.😉. After leaving Anchorage, we drove south to Seward, past the Cook Inlet, where we’ll spend three nights! We hear it’s hot in Kearney; we have low 60’s and the nights can get kinda chilly! (had to put the heater on last night)
All for now, stay Tuned! K/B

  1. These pictures are incredible!!! Just can't say it enough. I'm inspired. I am a little worried about your judgement with the bears however. Stay safe, and keep blogging, it's fun to follow along. Carol
